Greetings and Reflections on the New Islamic Year 1446AH By The Commander General ALH. ABBA ABDULWAHAB SULAIMAN NIGER.

As-Salamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,

The Commander General, A.A Sulaiman On behalf of the First Aid Group Initiative Fityanul Islam of Nigeria, extend his heartfelt greetings to all our esteemed members and the entire Muslim Ummah as we usher in the New Islamic Year 1446AH.

The commander general noted that the advent of a new year in the Islamic calendar is a significant moment of reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to our faith and community. It is a time to look back on the achievements and challenges of the past year and to seek Allah’s guidance and blessings as we embark on the journey ahead.

In the past year, we have organized workshops, seminars, and training to equip members with the knowledge needed to carry out our primary responsibilities (service to humanity and first aid emergency response). These milestones are a testament to our collective efforts, resilience, and unwavering faith. As we move forward, let us continue to embody the principles of unity, compassion, and dedication that are the cornerstones of our faith, He said.

As we enter 1446AH, He urges each one of us to rededicate ourselves to the service of Allah and the betterment of our communities. Let us strive to deepen our knowledge of the Deen, engage in acts of worship, and extend our hands to those in need. It is through these actions that we can truly honor the essence of Islam and make a meaningful impact in our world.

Let us also remember the importance of dua (supplication) and seek Allah’s mercy and protection for ourselves, our families, and the entire Ummah. May He grant us peace, prosperity, and the strength to overcome any trials that may come our way.

In closing, he prays that this new year brings with it abundant blessings, renewed faith, and continued success for all of us. May Allah (SWT) guide our steps and accept our efforts in His service.

Kano Declares Monday As Islamic New Year Holiday

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has declared Monday, July 8, 2024 as public holiday in commoration of the beginning of new Islamic calendar 1446 AH.

He enjoined the people to utilize the holiday to reflect on the previous year and commit themselves in mutually beneficial activities that will bring succur to the people in this difficult and trying times.

On its part, the government will continue to initiate policies and programmes that will empower people to be self dependent.

The governor urged Muslim Ummah to intensifies prayers for continued peace and progress in the State.

He expressed optimism with prayers and support of the people, his administration will turn around the fortunes of the state and return it back to the most economically prosperous state among it’s pears in the nation.

Condolences for Sayyidi Usman Bashir

May God bless Sayyidi Usman Bashir, one of the courageous young individuals of Tijjani, who made the ultimate sacrifice for the advancement of Islam and Sufism.

The funeral prayer took place today, Saturday, 23/09/2023, in the town of Maiduguri in Borno State.

We pray that God showers him with mercy and grants him the blessings of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.
